Social Media Policy

Trinity Shopping Centre currently has pages and profiles across a number of social media platforms. You can find us on:

Content

Content on these platforms is primarily to engage with the centre’s community and drive footfall to Trinity Shopping Centre and its retailers, while also supporting other businesses and causes across Aberdeen. Our channels are a marketing tool, managed by the Trinity Communications Team.

Social media competitions

We run competitions across our platforms, open to all followers excluding Trinity Shopping Centre employees, their immediate family, or any person or company associated with the draw. Winners are selected at random and prizes are collected from the centre, available at customer services the day after the draw. With permission, we may use a winner’s photo for social media, on the website or in press. We reserve the right to modify or withdraw any prize draw, disqualify entrants who use improper technical means to enter, and substitute a prize with one of equivalent value. No cash alternative is offered and prizes are non-transferable.

If you have signed up in-centre, on the website, or via any Trinity Shopping Centre-run competition or promotion, we look forward to updating you on our latest news and offers by email.

Management and monitoring

Our social media accounts are managed during office hours (9:00am until 5:30pm) Monday to Friday, and checked intermittently outside these times. We aim to respond within 48 hours; for anything urgent, call the centre on 01224 580076 or visit the Management Suite on Level 2, opposite the toilets.

Social media moderation

We welcome open and honest feedback on the centre, our retailers and our events. We reserve the right to remove posts that are offensive, xenophobic, homophobic, racist or sexist; upsetting or sensitive; infringe copyright; promote extremism or political ideals; promote unrelated organisations or personal campaigns; name Trinity Shopping Centre employees; share personal information not intended for public use; are spam or from non-tenant businesses; or contain misleading or incorrect information. Repeated breaches may result in being blocked, and serious content may be reported to the authorities. If anything on our channels concerns you, please contact us.

Our interaction with others

We keep our following to a minimum, generally limited to our local network and wider partnerships, so we can closely monitor information relevant to current and future visitors. Following or liking a post doesn’t imply endorsement of the views expressed. Where relevant, we may retweet, share, comment on or react to content, including wider national campaigns.

Trinity Shopping Centre is operated with Burnett & Black Limited as managing agent. Questions about this policy can be sent to hello@trinityaberdeen.co.uk.
