Right in the heart of Aberdeen
We’ve stood in this same spot since 1984 — and we’re not going anywhere.
Trinity is the most central shopping centre in Aberdeen, and we couldn’t be prouder to call this city home. Sitting right on Union Street, we’re woven into the everyday life of the city centre — the shops, the shortcuts, the meeting points, the Saturday afternoons.
Our history
Trinity has a history dating back to our opening in 1984. Building the centre meant working historical streets and buildings into something new, blending old Aberdeen with a modern shopping experience. We were originally known as The Trinity Centre, became The Mall in 2006, and switched back to The Trinity in 2009 — the name we’re known and loved by today.
Since then we’ve been through several rounds of expansion and renovation to keep pace with what the city needs, while playing our part hosting celebrations, promotions and events with our retailers, local charities and the wider community.
Ardent Group
In 2023, Trinity was acquired by Ardent Group, backed by locally-rooted businesses including Ivy Lodge, Douglas Hotel, Molly’s Bistro, Craftsman Aberdeen and Malones. With fresh, local eyes at the helm, we’re focused on the future of the centre and the potential it still has to offer Aberdeen.
#InTheCentre of Aberdeen
Being right in the heart of the city, we see everything going on around us — the nightlife, the sport, Union Terrace Gardens, an ever-changing street art scene, the beach promenade, historic Old Aberdeen, and the dolphins around Torry and Greyhope Bay. We’re minutes from a show at His Majesty’s Theatre, The Music Hall, The Lemon Tree or The Tivoli, and perfectly placed for parking, shopping and eating out in the city centre.
